An intimate elopement amongst the red rocks...

When Christy first reached out to me, she was asking about an engagement session which I was already excited about (I absolutely love engagement sessions!). But after a few weeks she messaged me again: "Actually, we want to just elope!! Can we do that instead?".

And I was even more excited! What could be more romantic than deciding to elope in Garden of the Gods? Since their elopement was so last minute and they lived in Denver, my first time meeting Ben and Christy was on their wedding day during one of the most important moments of their lives. It is moments like this that make me feel the weight of how lucky I am to be there for these moments in other people's lives. Christy walked from one parking lot to the circular area under the Kissing Camels where their ceremony took place. It was so fun watching her walk up and seeing all the passerby turn their heads to watch the bride walk to her groom. Such a fun moment!

Their ceremony was beautiful and emotional, complete with personal vows and a lovely sermon on marriage from the officiant. Afterwards, we had a whole two hours to explore the park and take photos!

Something people do not realize, is that with and elopement, you get WAY more photos of you and your new husband or wife! At a traditional wedding, the couple has a very limited time for photos alone (usually 20 minutes to an hour).

It was so fun getting to take our time and visit each amazing spot. At Garden of the Gods, each corner you turn has a new stunning view! Their day was completed with cutting their cake at the overlook, a perfect finally to a wonderful day.

Congrats to Ben and Christy!!
